Upgrade your stock carburetor.  whether you still have that small 28 Keihin, or the 38mm CDKII carb, upgrading to a 44mm Mikuni carb is superior in all aspects  

This manifold will fit a 44mm perfect & 46mm with very little need to open up. With a little time on the porting bench, you can open this puppy up to accept a 48mm carb
